Caridea
architecture acoustics collaboration experimental fabrication form
Caridea
Developed in collaboration with John Umphlett and the Production of Unconventional Spaces class at Bennington College, Caridea is an expanding pneumatic structure designed for play. Tether points allow the structure to change shape, altering acoustics, visual depth, and air pressure.
Computational Crochet
Experimental Form Parametric
Computational Crochet
In physical space, yarn and loops sing the romance of curving hyperbolic planes. Bending, swirling, creating infinite seas of surface area. To better understand these mystical forms we built them from the ground up in digital space. This project aims to understand both the mathematics and mystery behind hyperbolic crocheted geometry by recreating its beauty with high fidelity.
Slitscan Morphology
Architecture Form motion time parametric experimental
Slitscan Morphology
Inspired by the fantastical images of slit-scan photography, this project adds a 3rd dimension to the traditionally 2d process. A capture plane slowly scans an object moving through space to create a 3d representation of its journey over time.

Digital Stone Project Site
The Digital Stone Project is a non-profit dedicated to enabling artists to work amazing materials and fabrication processes. They mill marble with robots and help artists make incredible work.
Think Tank
architecture acoustics collaboration experimental fabrication form
Think Tank
Developed in collaboration with John Umphlett for the Production of Unconventional Spaces class at Bennington College, the think tank is a space for exploring pneumatic structures. This space is used to design, prototype, experiment with, and perform in pneumatic structures developed for this class. It will serve as the womb for the conception and design of an inflatable structure of larger scale.
Grow Glass
architecture fabrication modular experimental collaboration models
Grow Glass
Grow Glass is an iteration of the plant active, modular phytoremediation system (AMPS) designed at CASE@SOM. This technology uses the natural air purifying properties of plant rhizomes to clean polluted air. This version of AMPS uses a clear recycled plastic as the structural housing and plenum for the system's plant remediation cartridges.
Projective Glitch
motion parametric experimental form models
Projective Glitch
A point to a shape, so goes projection. But what happens when the projection is hijacked and changes direction? How can the movement of a hypercube be visualized in 3d space?
Tree/House
Architecture modular parametric competition
Tree/House
Nestled near the ruins of an Italian castle, Tree/House mimics the nature reclaiming the land. Blend into the canopy with movable façade panels whos dappled shadows dance with those of the leaves.
Air Shake
Architecture Speculative Collaboration Exhibition
Air Shake
Produced as part of a collaboration with ANA Cycle, Air Shake projects a dystopian future where the atmosphere is heavily polluted. This project imagines a series of machines that use the chemicals in this thickly polluted air to create a series of extreme cures to the widespread disease of the future. Shown at the 2017 Tomorrows Exhibition.
Message in a Bottle
Architecture built collaboration exhibition experimental fabrication models form modular speculative
Message in a Bottle
Produced as part of a collaboration with ANA Cycle for the 2019 Olso Architecture Triennale, Message in a Bottle is a critique of plastic waste. The structure is comprised of an alternative plastic bottle that interlocks to form a structural network. These "Friendship Bottles" propose a second life as a building unit after their contents are consumed. Mounted to these bottles are lenses that display collected plastic waste alongside drawings of systems that eliminate and remediate this waste.
Meta Vegas
Architecture Form Speculative
Meta Vegas
The Vegas Vegas Hotel predicts the inevitable implosion of Las Vegas into one building by creating a caricature of the city it inhabits while using the same poorly translated copying language of the current Las Vegas hotel paradigm. To create the Vegas Vegas Hotel, other famous Las Vegas hotels are intersected, their attractions are scaled, and their programs rearranged to fit the purposes of the new hotel, a mega trap. Rather than having only a few exciting public programs the Vegas Vegas hotel jams casinos, pools, bars, strip clubs, theaters and etc. onto all 40 floors. There is no end to the experiences that await you. Every surface is illuminated with the pastel colors of the night time Las Vegas strip. At Vegas Vegas the fun will never end, and you will never leave.
Adaptive Acoustic Membrane
Acoustics Form Architecture Models Experimental Fabrication Modular
Adaptive Acoustic Membrane
The Adaptive Acoustic Membrane takes precedent from the structure of the tympanic membrane and its relationship with the middle ear bones (malleus, incus, and stapes) to create a membrane “drum” whose structure and acoustic properties are affected by how the rigid members lock in to or peel away from each other.
